We have been actively planning to promote the SSYO. The following is a showcase of our events.
The SSYO travels as part of its orchestral experience. Our travel opportunities are designed to expose young musicians to different cultural contexts and provide them with the experience of performing on international and national stages.
The SSYO has also ventured internationally. We have visited Europe and Asia, such as China, Japan, and South America. Our musicians collaborate, hold workshops, and perform with orchestras in the destination countries. Travelling overseas with chaperones allows our musicians to appreciate other cultures, strengthens friendships and the team's spirits, and improves musicality internationally.
Towards the end of the school year, we hold auditions for the SSYO. The criteria are being between the ages of 12 and 26, residing in Southern Saskatchewan, and having instrumental ability. Once you submit the SSYO Audition sign-up form, we will contact you about the audition date as it gets closer to the audition.
